Once again Easter is here and our house is full of chocolate!!
Erin and I got together last week for some crafting and we wanted to do some Easter Craft … I had some cute little chicks from a Spotlight Sale and remembered a bird box template I had from Nichole Heady. It was a little tricky for the younger kids, but Annalise and Grace were only too happy to help … and they ended up making a whole batch. They turned out so cute!

I thought a bit more colour was needed …
I bought some cheap watercolour paints for the kids .. but couldn’t resist playing with them myself!

Although I have many other things to share right now … I’m feeling a bit excited about digital scrapbooking … I have completed 231 digital pages in total and they are viewed on a large digital frame in our living area. I often catch the kids looking at their photos and reliving the memories. I’ve been very distracted lately and have some catching up to do.

I’ve been following Pam Carriker for a while and I always find her work so inspiring … so when her book “Art at the Speed of Life” came out … I had to have a copy!
Only a short way into the book I stopped to create an art journal .. the instructions were easy to follow and I had all the ingredients – denim, watercolour paper, a button and some string.. it was so much fun ..
That same day I had to make a notebook – this time in pink – a gift for a 10 year old girl … so pretty!!
And so a new obsession began ..

My friend Erin surprised me recently with some very thoughtful gifts … and they made me smile!!
The first was a new art journal … something I really needed … and Erin incorporated my recent challenge to use her big butterfly stamp … I love the results!!
And a set of blank babushka dolls … given my new obsession with drawing little faces … it’s the perfect gift and I can’t wait to play with them!!

Friday night I attended the Life’s Artistry class with Donna Downey. It was so much fun!!
And because the girls were at a Girl Guide Camp and the boys were at my Mum’s, it meant that I had some studio time on Saturday morning to work on the album we started. I watched Breakfast at Tiffany’s (twice) and I do believe that it was one of my favourite crafting mornings ever!! Here are the pages that are finished so far …

It’s been so long since I’ve done a digital page … and for a limited time the very talented Vinnie Pearce is sharing a gorgeous digital kit for free. I was inspired to create two pages with some recent photos of my daughter and her friend who requested a photo shoot.

My friend Erin challenged me to make something with a big butterfly stamp that she had (and hadn’t used yet). I love a good challenge and I love the end result .. so many layers .. and the colours make me feel happy!! So now Erin .. I challenge you to make something with your big butterfly stamp!!
