art collage …

Well it’s been a while since I’ve felt creative enough to make something. This collage was started months ago .. with all the bits and pieces waiting patiently .. and I finally finished. These colours have been very appealing lately .. even creeping into my wardrobe!

inspired by julie …

Interweave Press had a sale recently on their downloadable videos … I have been wanting to get collage fast & furious with Julie Fei-Fan Balzer for a while now … and this was my chance. I loved it … Julie is so lovely and I love that she lives in New York City. I was inspired to start an art journal page … which I will share when it’s finished.

I also have to comment on how much I love technology … I was able to download the file and transfer it to my iPad and watch it on the couch (with headphones) while the kids watched a movie. It doesn’t get much than that!

dream girl …

I’ve been working on another canvas … and decided this time to start with the dictionary collage face … I’ve added texture paste to her hair, the yellow polka dot dress with some Tim Holtz trim and of course a princess needs some pearls … the crown is clipart printed onto patterned paper … spritzed with some Glimmer Mist.

papier mache doll …

I’ve had this on my to do list for ages … and today was the day!! The kids were in the pool, so while watching, I took out some supplies and collaged with an old dictionary. And after lunch I dressed her … It was so much fun!

one little word …

Ali Edwards posted a blog entry about one little word. “Today I want to introduce you to the idea that a single word can be a catalyst for enriching your life”. My word for last year was dream. And dream I did.

For 2009 I have chosen the word … believe …

For the first craft night of the year I worked on a collage and I’m really happy with the outcome!
