I have been watching Donna Downey for a few years now and I really LOVE her work!! Very Inspirational !!

My friend Alex was heading over to Chicago to attend CHA and I casually said to say hi to Donna for me … and of course Alex did.

I was so happy yesterday to receive the following message from Donna herself … wish I was there too!!

Thanks so much Alex … and thanks Donna for all that you do!!

I’ve just finished the following canvas using one of Donna’s stamps …

And a few other pieces using Donna’s stamps …

My creativity was nowhere to be found for a while … although I was doing quite a bit of baking (and I’m not a big fan of baking) … but finally it has returned and I’ve been busy.

Here is a canvas that I completed to be auctioned at the Close to my Heart Fundraiser.

I’ve had my eyes on this “The Artist in You” stamp set by Donna Downey for a while and when Blue Bazaar had them on sale recently I finally bought it.

Using Claudine Hellmuth’s paints, Donna Downey stamps and some self-portraits that I took in Amsterdam I put this together.

I love this quote … and I love Donna Downey’s stamp … so I wanted to make a canvas with butterflies and my favourite quote.

It took me a while to catch on … I had a feeling it was going to consume me … and it did … and I loved every minute …

I found this Vintage Passion sheet of inchies from *iTkUpiLLi* and knew they were perfect for my Twilight inspired piece …

I LOVE this tree … a stamp from the very talented Donna Downey … I’m loving the Distress crackle paint and dictionary pages at the moment …

Sometimes a project can takes months to complete … this is one such project … and I’m so happy that I’ve finally finished!

My boys are watching Toy Story 2 at the moment … and I just heard the line … “You can’t rush art” when Woody is having his makeover … and well it’s so true …

For Christmas this year I made two canvases, one for my sister-in-law Emily, and for my mother-in-law Annette. I’m really happy how they turned out .. and I love this photo of Emily taken on her recent visit with us.

I can’t believe it’s nearly Christmas again .. this year has flown by so quickly.

I recently ordered a Christmas Kit from Melissa Phillips on Etsy and here is my first creation …

Happy Birthday to a gorgeous girl …
