Man Bag …

For Christmas last year I made a few handbags .. and my Grandmother was very happy when she got hers! My Grandfather was so impressed with my sewing skills that he requested one for himself.
We shook hands and we later had a meeting to discuss his requirements:
- mobile phone holder (on the “wide” strap for easy access)
- snaphook key ring (to attach the keys .. although this is a standard feature of all my bags .. no more rummaging)
- wallet holder
- secured coin holder
- spot for his notebook and pen
It took a few weeks for the bag to be made .. and this week he received his “Man Bag” .. one very happy customer!!
Chalkboards …

This year I wanted to start making something different for gifts. Recently I broke the glass in a great frame and wondered how I could still use it. I thought I could turn it into a chalkboard and it looks great. As a collector I have a few old frames .. and my Mum recently donated a bunch to me as well. So I’m all set .. chalkboards are easy and fun to make!!
Georgia and Savannah have already received theirs …

Oscar turned 3 .. and I bought this stamp just for him! Talk about leaving it to the last minute .. this was finished at around midnight the night before the party.
I’m starting to think that I work best under pressure .. because this didn’t turn out like I had planned .. and I think that is a very good thing .. because I’m really happy with the final outcome!

So it seems I don’t have any time at the moment to craft for myself .. but it feels great to be able to make gifts for the kids parties!
I especially love to make the girly pink things .. flowers, butterflies and glitter all make me happy!! And I love how sweet this gift is …

For Harrison I’ve revamped an old frame with Crackle Paint .. added some grungy paper, some thickers and of course all boys like skulls!!

Well it’s been a while since I’ve felt creative enough to make something. This collage was started months ago .. with all the bits and pieces waiting patiently .. and I finally finished. These colours have been very appealing lately .. even creeping into my wardrobe!
