I attended a scrapbooking retreat last weekend … and I decided to participate in a challenge. Using a sketch and some papers provided I came up with this …

While I spend a lot of time doing digital pages … I do really love to play with paper and ribbon and put together a page.

Last month I decided that I would do a double page every year on my birthday, which should mean that I will get a family photo at least once a year. Let’s hope I can remember!! I am happy with how my first two pages turned out. (I am having serious LOVE with the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die)

happy birthday mum …

A big Happy Birthday wish for my mother who celebrated her birthday yesterday. I was a bit practical this year and made a heat pack … full of rice and lavender … so a few minutes in the microwave and she can snuggle up and get warm.

Grace stayed home from school yesterday with a sore throat … so she was able to make a cake and set the table for a lovely afternoon tea … it was delicious!!

Annalise had a sleepover party at her friend Annabelle’s … here is the canvas I made for her. Annalise even made her own canvas to give to Annabelle, but due to time restrictions I wasn’t able to photograph it … but it was beautiful and I was very proud!!

Of course Val needed a card to go with his Live Happily canvas. He said it was “beautiful” .. not exactly the words I would chosen, but I’m glad he liked it!

Happy Birthday Granny !!

My grandmother turned 80 yesterday .. and I wanted to make something special. I remembered I had a favourite tea cup of hers that had broken a few years ago and decided to recycle it into some art. With every single cup of tea that we share I hear the words “That’s a lovely cup of tea” and wanted to incorporate that memory. Here is the end result …
