Well it’s been a while since I’ve felt creative enough to make something. This collage was started months ago .. with all the bits and pieces waiting patiently .. and I finally finished. These colours have been very appealing lately .. even creeping into my wardrobe!

We celebrated two birthdays last week … my Mum (h) and my daughter’s good friend (t) … both born on the same day!
I recently ordered some fabric from Art Candy … I love Amy Butler’s designs and the colours are gorgeous … and decided to customise some notebooks … love how they turned out! (My Mum really loved it too!)

Matthew was invited to Claudia’s party and I was so happy to make something pretty and pink.
I’ve had this mdf mirror for ages .. and it was so much fun decorating it. I used this piece as my inspiration .. and I was very happy with how it turned out.
And Claudia liked it too!

Back in March I attended the Donna Downey workshop – Inspiration Journal. It was a great class .. heaps of fun ideas!!
Some of these pages aren’t finished yet … but I love that! I can come back another day and some more layers!

Last weekend the kids were invited to two birthday parties … Olivia turned 12 … and received this handmade journal …
And Jamie went to Luke’s Under the Sea themed party .. the invitation included sand and shells .. so I thought an Underwater Canvas was needed!
The party host did an amazing job with all the decorations! Although I have to say that I was surprised when Jamie was given a fish to take home instead of the usual lolly bag .. his name is Mr Goldberg!
T is for Tyson …

Jamie (4) was recently invited to his first birthday party. So very exciting!! His first thought was “What should we make for Tyson … how about a “t” for Tyson.”
This comment made me so happy .. and who am I to disappoint my 4 year old. So off to Spotlight to find a “T” … and I found this Papier maché letter – perfect!

I tend to struggle a bit with gifts for boys .. the last one I made I didn’t photograph because I wasn’t so sure about it. Of course now the memory of it has improved and I like it a lot better. Too bad I can’t share …
So when Matthew was invited to Jakson’s birthday party I knew I was ready for the challenge. I had a “J” made from mdf (for Jamie .. but it never got started) and made the following canvas .. I really like the end result … and it was so nice to receive gratitude from Jakson’s mum after the party.

There seem to be a lot of parties this year … and I can’t resist the urge to give handmade gifts … this canvas is for a lovely 12 year old named Georgia.
Georgia’s favourite colour is Aqua and mine is Orange .. totally loving the combination!
