I have been watching Donna Downey for a few years now and I really LOVE her work!! Very Inspirational !!

My friend Alex was heading over to Chicago to attend CHA and I casually said to say hi to Donna for me … and of course Alex did.

I was so happy yesterday to receive the following message from Donna herself … wish I was there too!!

Thanks so much Alex … and thanks Donna for all that you do!!

I’ve just finished the following canvas using one of Donna’s stamps …

And a few other pieces using Donna’s stamps …

My creativity was nowhere to be found for a while … although I was doing quite a bit of baking (and I’m not a big fan of baking) … but finally it has returned and I’ve been busy.

Here is a canvas that I completed to be auctioned at the Close to my Heart Fundraiser.

Nothing beats a beautiful day at the beach in winter!! We had some hot chips for lunch and went for a walk on the rocks … so much fun!!

When I have a girly card to make I automatically think flower and ribbon …

Chris surprised me the other day with my very own iPad … very thankful that I have a husband who believes that it is a necessity to keep up date with the latest technology! And let’s face it .. he was tired of sharing his with the kids … so now they can play with mine too!!

I’ve loaded my digital scrapbooking pages on to the iPad and it’s so cool to be able to share them with the kids!

May has been a month of cardmaking … a nephew, a daughter and a friend all needed cards, and I love making cards because they are quick (usually) and so much fun!

I still love the Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch!

I’ve had my eyes on this “The Artist in You” stamp set by Donna Downey for a while and when Blue Bazaar had them on sale recently I finally bought it.

Using Claudine Hellmuth’s paints, Donna Downey stamps and some self-portraits that I took in Amsterdam I put this together.

I’ve just completed 2008 … an entire year … digital. That is exciting for me! Now I can work on the rest of my life!

Here are a couple of my favourite pages from 2008.

In 2008 Chris and I went to America. I attended the Creative Photography Retreat in San Jose, and then we had a few days together in San Francisco.

I had heaps of photos to share and put together a digital album. It’s very simple, with the frame from Jessica Sprague and the background papers by Meredith Fenwick.

It may take a moment to load.

If I could add an audio track to this slideshow it would be Fly Like An Eagle by the Steve Miller Band … we heard it while driving around in San Francisco and I really love it!

And I made him an album. I actually started this album before his 4th birthday … but didn’t get it finished in time. I love to finish old projects (unfortunately I have way too many unfinished items hanging around).
