That is quite a while to neglect a blog.
Got busy with Emit Photography & Design.
For Christmas last year I made a few handbags .. and my Grandmother was very happy when she got hers! My Grandfather was so impressed with my sewing skills that he requested one for himself.
We shook hands and we later had a meeting to discuss his requirements:
- mobile phone holder (on the “wide” strap for easy access)
- snaphook key ring (to attach the keys .. although this is a standard feature of all my bags .. no more rummaging)
- wallet holder
- secured coin holder
- spot for his notebook and pen
It took a few weeks for the bag to be made .. and this week he received his “Man Bag” .. one very happy customer!!
This year I wanted to start making something different for gifts. Recently I broke the glass in a great frame and wondered how I could still use it. I thought I could turn it into a chalkboard and it looks great. As a collector I have a few old frames .. and my Mum recently donated a bunch to me as well. So I’m all set .. chalkboards are easy and fun to make!!
Georgia and Savannah have already received theirs …
I’ve been following ruby claire for some time now and I’m always inspired .. she is one talented girl .. and she is having a giveaway .. watch her video and be inspired too!
Oscar turned 3 .. and I bought this stamp just for him! Talk about leaving it to the last minute .. this was finished at around midnight the night before the party.
I’m starting to think that I work best under pressure .. because this didn’t turn out like I had planned .. and I think that is a very good thing .. because I’m really happy with the final outcome!
Sometimes there isn’t enough time in the day .. okay .. there is never enough time in the day (or night)!
This canvas is quite simple .. but I think it’s the simplicity that I love the most!
